The press aren't going to change are they? They link United with players that we're after and say that United are the "preferred choice" and then when we sign them claim it's because we offered more money.

Unless United can somehow sign Van Persie without increasing his wages then there's no way they'll sign him. Their wage structure won't allow for another £150k+ a week player after all the money they've given to Rooney to keep him there.

I like Van Persie as a player but I agree with you, just cannot see him repeating what he did!
