As a general aside and to hopefully kill the silly Clichy debate...

He's the better player and should start. He defends better and he's a better passer in our build up play. Just because one aspect of his game isn't as good as I would like, it doesn't mean I think he should be benched or sold or anything ridiculous. He's an excellent player and I was one of the people defending the signing when it happened last summer.

I don't get the comparisons with Valencia. He was a top player at Wigan for a couple of seasons before baconface invested the not insignificant sum of £17m on him.

Sinclair is nowhere near that standard so far. I watched Sinclair in both games against us last saeson and he did next to nothing to worry us.

As with every City player, he will get my backing but, and let's be realistic, if the rags bought him we would be pissing ourselves at the fact they were skint.

Strange signing, and in my humble opinion, not even as good as Adam Johnson, Hoilett, Moses or Walcott.

We let a similar type of player go just a couple of days ago for £1.3m... like I say, totally underwhelming. Certainly not one of the "bombs" predicted to shake the foundations of world football!

I couldn't of put it any better myself.

Milan close to signing M'Baye Niang before us and Arsenal. Doubt it would have been a good move for him anyway as he's already a first team player at 17 so will expect some first team football, and no young striker (Guidetti) has any real chance at our club in the foreseeable future.

Agree with all of this. Hope it goes the same way as the Seb Larsson rumours

what happened to the two ex-barcelona board members we were signing ? I thought they were going to come in and broker some big deals?

A wet one that requires a change of duds

I am afraid to say this but I have been a Tolmie believer for a while now - but with no 'bomb' signings and nothing on a signing today I am fiinding it hard to keep faith in him.

I seriously hope this comment comes back to haunt me - I am no longer an ITK believer
