I disagree,hes the best striker about an fit as a fiddle,scoring over 40 goals a season,hes on 28 already this season,leadin goal scorer in europe,but i dont think its if the club want him or not that matters,its if bayern let him go ,which is unlikely

Bayern has made clear they won’t let him go, but I wasn’t talking about what you or I would want. I’d take him easily. I just think the club prefers someone younger

Haaland would be best option all day as theres lonjevity in it no doubt,but if that didnt happen,then i would still be more than happy with him for a year or two,

Personally don’t want Kane or Lewandowski. I can see why Pep does, but I’d hope short-sightedness for Pep’s CL legacy doesn’t override our longer term squad balance.

I might be unhappy, in Haaland's position, signing a multi year contract if say Rodgers was Pep's replacement..

i feel like haaland would play much better under a coach like rodgers than Pep. not really sure i see haaland fitting in too well in our system. He could definitely make it work but he would thrive more under a coach like klopp

I agree. Lewa is great but he doesn't fit the age profile of who City usually targets.

There's exceptions to the rule, like Messi to use an extreme example. If the player is of a certain level their age matters less. City clearly have a Policy of purchasing younger players but it's not written in stone.

Older players are in much better shape these days and keep themselves in fantastic condition. I'd be happy with Lewandowski - he must have at least two or three years left at the top. He'd be a great mentor for Delap too.

However, that would have to be our 2nd or 3rd choice after Haaland and Vlahovic.

Yep. As good as he truly is, would he be so outrageously effective working in small spaces against low block teams in a league as seriously competitive as the Premier - the same could be asked of Haaland but, in Lewa’s case, especially at 35 or 36yo?

Also, even if he could bag plenty of goals himself, would catering for him be detrimental to the overall team performance?

We have a league winning machine that does what it does with fluid interchange in attack and without an out & out striker. IMO we need to be very careful as to what we add into such a successful recipe as we wouldn’t want to spoil the dish.

Personally, I’ll leave the decision to Pep the chef and be happy with what’s served.

It's going to be the summer if big striker moves. He would not be our first choice but if we don't get any of the other big names then why not.

I think we might end up with Alvarez from what from what i've heard. Caution ITK BS!!!

I happy to leave it to the club, and as a last choice, maybe, but I’d be surprised if the club would, and as they’ve shown they are happy to go without rather than take a short term view to a signing.
