First part could well be true but there’s no way if Bernardo was to leave that his replacement would come from within the premier league as there is honestly nobody close to being good enough in the league to replace him. We’d struggle to find anybody in any league capable of replacing Bernardo imo and the only player that stands out to me as potentially filling that gap would be Bellingham who I don’t see moving this summer. Very hard to find somebody with Bernardo’s talent, work rate, energy, ability to keep the ball when pressed and hurt teams in terms of goals & assists. He was very much the glue last season.

I really think with Haaland, Alvarez and likely Phillips & Cucurella, particularly with a player like Mane leaving Liverpool, we’d move further ahead of the scousers. Bernardo leaving would be a big step back for us.

I thought the same about Fernandinho I would’ve never guessed we would go for Phillips as his replacement. They probably have someone on the list as a Bernardo replacement in the prem it’s just us as fans have no idea who that could be. Phillips was a left field link. Bernardo we’d struggle to replace him as he’s one of our best players but I’m guessing they have a list just in case it happens.

Maybe pep just wants players from the Prem that can come in and be already comfortable with the league. Haaland the exception as he’s a world world class player. It’s why I think if Bernardo some how left this window if Barca got the cash and could change his mind. i would take a guess that his replacement would be in the premier league.

Who in the name of Christ could replace Bernardo directly from the Prem? I would hope you're wrong on that if indeed Bernie leaves.

I don’t think the Phillips deal will be anywhere close to the numbers mentioned but the deal must be close if the bullshit figures are coming out!
