Agree, I'll add to that though, it is rare we sell/ replace 4 players in one go. The last time we did that was after Pep's first season.

Mind you we went on to hit 100 points after that summee too.

Well we can only have 21 plus academy players the least we'll have if we decide not to replace Sterling is 20 plus academy players. So we are only talking about 1 squad place .

We had 20 outfield players in 18/19 and we did the quad.

We had 17 last season and got stupidly knocked out in the FA cup and League cup because we didn’t have enough depth. Next season will be even worse with the World Cup making everything condensed.

We need more incomings than outgoings if we want to compete on all 4 fronts. If we’re generous Palmer can count as an extra incoming but we’re still going to be too short if it’s one in one out on the transfer front.

We are selling players on the fringes, non-starters.

Raz, Gabby, Ake, Zin, Steffen, Torres, Bazunu, Fern, Gyani, Egan-Riley, Edozie, Porro.

That's almost £285m right there. All not guaranteed starters or fringe squad.

Haaland, Alvarez and Phillips in so far @ £110m.
