Now there's something I didn't think I would see - great counter!

I'm slightly surprised myself TBH, I think it's down to the sheer number of goals we score that a (relatively) small number of goals get missed or forgotten about.

People around saying that Man City may not replace more outgoings, and that Pep more and more likes working with a smallish squad.. and that Grealish, Haaland was the replacements etc. What they are forgetting is that they are replacing Kun and Torres as well from back when City had a much bigger squad really.
19 senior* pros is at LEAST one to few I feel.

Its pretty crazy that a lot of journalists and fans of other teams thinks this really.. they still think City got the widest squad in da world. Its like 2020 talk.
They are all extremely high quality but you need pure numbers at times as well.


Edit: in my mind though, I do think that Grealish signing was a thought of cos they probably knew that Sterling was not gonna re-sign and they wanted to pre-cover themselves in that eventuality (sale, 1y contract left) but all the rest is not.

e2: For comparison 1 sept. 2020, City had 21 comparable including Foden that had a senior high wage contract by then, +Garcia. Only position that wasn't double-covered then was AM/CM with 3 instead of 4.

Barca ate completely fucked, they've now offered £55m for Raphina but want to start paying it in 5 year installments with the 1st being next Summer

They ate fucking cheeky cunts that need a fucking good slapping

Leeds are playing fuck because Chelsea have offered the full 60m with 2 payments but Raphina wants Spain

Barca are the shit on everyone's shoes they are messing with people's lifes & getting away with it & tapping up every man & its dog

They owe De Jong & others but won't pay the 17m untill next season & beyond
They owe for Torres, Dembele wants his money & new deal

I disagree various reasons someone would,
If you are in the twilight of your career and get promised the odd game a huge pay rise and a future coaching role
Alternatively your a young up and coming and are told there is a pathway to first choice
If you’re in your prime obviously not
That is why for me I would go for an old pro for that spot

That's why I specifically mentioned Scott Carson, as an example of someone clearly winding their career down with an eye on their coaching career ! Established players in their prime years will not sign to be a 4th choice.
