When someone says so confidently something is happening, even more so something wild and big like that, then they deserve to be questioned. Don’t have to be abused but his silence since suggests he was on the wum; something I know others to be banned for previously

He has proven to be reliable previously and was obviously given info which he was grateful to share. It seems some take great pleasure in having a pop at our ITKs when things don't materialise as expected - hardly the fault of the poster.

Sad state of affairs imo when someone who is willing to share info is bullied on here when it doesn't come to fruition.

This place would be fucking awful without their input, so lets be grown up and not bully them off the site or fearful of posting in the future

I read this thread avidly because, one way or another, I find out about our prospective signings long before I hear it from any other source. Of course you have to sift the posts to get an idea which are real but incomplete deals or tenuous conjectural links, but those who get angry should look at themselves rather than those who post snippets they've heard.

Same goes for Journalists. Sam Lee gets worse treatment than any forum ITK.
If no-on in the know saw Neymar as realistic possibility then it is his fault.

The info given was patently untrue by all accounts. Not some attempt that was unsuccesful or had an unforseen speed bump.

This I agree with. ITKS liven up the forum a lot especially in the off-season.

On the other hand this is a forum where people should be allowed to discuss merit the credibility of a poster who claims to (and clearly sometimes does) have insider info.

If we're saying ITKs shouldn't be taken seriously then surely we have to also acknowledge that their information isn't above being treated with scepticism.

Information is posted in good faith on the whole, read it, take it in and believe it if you want, but don't go on a witch hunt if it's not true.

Football is all about speculation , opinion and transfers can change in seconds, there is no exact science.

I agree it's not that important but that is not what speculation is.

Claiming a deal is done and that you're ITK is not speculation. Speculation is based on no real information.

Speculation is me, someone who has zero insider info, saying I think we'll sign X, Y or Z.

I see where you're coming from but there's a massive difference between what was posted and something like "I've heard we're looking at Neymar".

For me personally, as soon as ITKs start using cryptic clues and setting people on a guessing game, that's when it becomes more about them creating a buzz and getting people talking than actually passing on info in good faith. Fair play if that's what they're after, but if that's the goal then they're absolutely fair game for scrutiny, I don't think even Tolmie would disagree with that.

For example, 93:20's post earlier in the year where they basically said "I've heard we're selling Sterling and Jesus", if that turns out wrong, who cares? Just sharing something they heard. But the Neymar stuff was altogether a different thing and I think people criticising that is valid. That was about getting people excited and it quickly spread way beyond the forum.

Being a Mancunian Paris-based HR professional, I know far more about French employment law, but think that he may have a fairly good case for discrimination should he be found not guilty and not included in the PL squad.

That’s fine if we have to include him in the squad, but we don’t have to play him or have him on the bench.

Even if he’s found not guilty, the club’s reputation would be tarnished because in the mind of opposition fans he’ll be a rapist and constantly get abuse if on the pitch.

Plus he was shit anyway, it’s best for all parties if he fucks off abroad. If he’s guilty he can fuck off and rot in jail.

i think the club would be fine if they paid up his final year and got shut asap. Like you say, he would always be classed as a rapist and of course the club would be targeted for keeping him at the club.
