Brandon Williams is not good enough for Brighton and they need a left footer there for balance as well.. Im not convinced Potter (personally at least) is in for him.

Everyone is guessing about the future, apart from few well established facts related to death and taxes :)

But not all guesses are equally good or bad!

Guesses can be more and less informed, more and less grounded in facts, etc.

I think that Naylor's info about Brighton contains more truth than groundless speculation, so it's closer to 100% than to 1%. His record provides evidence for this, it's not a groundless guess.

Your generalisations are guesses too btw, and not very good in this case imo :)

Probably the final signing of the summer (baring any surprise and major outgoings)

Hopefully we get Cucurella over the line (or if not him someone else) as we have needed a left back for a few seasons.

Pep has worked his magic with Delph, Zinchenko and then by putting Cancello over that side as well (Ake and Laporte have also both played there) but we hopefully we can get a specialist left back in before September.

If it gets done I think it will take a bid of around 45m ish plus add very achievable add ons (appearance based for instance) to take it to 50m - pretty sure everyone would be satisfied with that

Cucurella is 24 so we could easily get 7-8 years out of him so 45m - 50m sounds reasonable to me

My guess is the asking price is 50m indeed and they won't accept lower than 45m plus add ons. Let's see what happens.

Edit: I think Andy Naylor is relatively reliable for info or Brighton. He's just dismissed the Williams to Brighton rumour as rubbish.

It doesn't necessarily need to be that extreme, and it can still be true that nobody really knows, despite it not being entirely speculative rubbish.

If they are claiming the price Brighton would consider would 'start at' 50m, then even if it is something they have been told rather than guessed, that could still be 50m, could be 60 including Add-ons. If they have been told valuations are 20m apart, we might be offering 40m, not 30 which is a guess back from '50'.

It may or may not be speculative rubbish, but I think it is not unfair or wrong to say that nobody really knows.

Whatever their reasons are, and that may well be one of them, we agree that they do want to sell.
