It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I really feel like it would be a huge mistake not going hard for Nkunku this transfer window. He is the perfect Pep player as he can play across the the front line and in central midfield, plus plays with both feet, and has a great vision.

He actually destroyed us in the Champions league twice.

It’s not a question about not going for him as in Leipzig ain’t selling and he doesn’t want to go.

That what I keep saying if we don't get him and he goes to another team in the league we're gonna regret it.

Red Bull aren't short of cash and the Champions League group stages has got them set for the season. If they fail to make a mark then next year would be the better time for us (providing we haven't bought an alternative or Alvarez has settled)

How do you know he doesn’t want to go?

With Sterling, Mahrez with 1 year left on thier contract, and Gabby leaving, getting a young flexible player who can cover multiple positions and roles. He would be the perfect fit in my opinion.

Wont regret it, they'll be another wonderkid out the bundesliga in the next 5 minutes. They churn em out, it was Wirtz at the start of the season.

May be the case, but his combination of physicality and how clinical he is won’t be easy to replicate.

nkunku is just brilliant i'd do anything to have him this season but sadly it doesn't seem an option at the moment

Milan, United & Liverpool all gonna test RB it seems. Popular lad

It's not about what City wants. If Sterling wants to wait and play until the WC before seing how he fits in the new system etc, he can. There are no clubs that are willing to take Sterling right now, so he's in control rn
Fundamentally in football when players don’t commit they get benched don’t see why sterling is any different if he does not want to play any football from august to november that is on him, i think pep will tell him that in a few weeks. Either u sign or we sell u this summer.

I agree and would go all in if there is/was a possibility. Him or Felix
Is he Sterling fast

How fast is he? Like Sterling?

Didn’t stop Pep from playing Eric Garcia in a UCL quarter final did it?

Our defence was so shit to the point he played a defender that was gonna leave, otamendi & stones made mistakes every game, ferna not good enough as a cb, laporte who was our star defender was injured. We have 4-5 players that can play where Sterling is playing, and do a better job at any given point. He won’t play as a false nine anymore since that striker position will be reserved for Haaland and Alvarez. So its either left or the right, on the left we have Grealish and Foden, on the right he has to compete with Mahrez and potentially Palmer. Judging from past seasons u have to be deluded to think Sterling is better than Mahrez.
