Yes so join a side with no champions league and manager instability makes sense for sure.

Can understand Juventus, or any of the other striped Italian teams, but Spurs? Would probably not even be a regular starter for them, and even if he was its not exactly a huge difference in quality between them and Arsenal, who he would be first choice for. Sure they have CL football, but it doesnt really matter when you are not a serious contender to win it anyway. If he doesnt leave to be a regular starter, whats the point in leaving the best team in the country at all?

There are possibly only two clubs in the world where a player would not have to worry about manager instability ... us and the Dippers.
Managers are changed on a whim at most other clubs.
Perhaps the player isn`t too fussed about CL (the Gooners are already in a European competiton) and its all about getting more game time for him.
 
Apparently dembele to Chelsea is close to being done. Surely that rules them out of sterling. Leaves real Madrid as only real option
 
I wouldn’t have picked Cucurella or Phillips.

However I think City and Pep are very good at improving players to play a certain way.

It is likely that what City see in these two is that they have certain aspects that suit the team and the skills they lack can be taught relatively quickly.

City and Liverpool don't make many mistakes in the transfer market and so in this case it could well be that I just don’t have the information that City have so I incorrectly question it.

I don’t think there are many posters on here who recommended either of these guys before it came out we wanted them though, of course, there are plenty that want them now!

I certainly don’t go along with City buying backups. Over time that will weaken the squad. Every player gets matches at City and all of them have to accept being rested or don’t come.

For example I think if City thought they could get Rice this window for an affordable price they would get him. They have ruled him out for financial reasons rather than Phillips will be happy to be benched whereas Rice wouldn’t accept it.

KDB gets benched at City. This is the way City think and us fans need to catch up.

What? You said "I also heard that Cucurella deal is done." are you just repeating what you heard here or is it separate, independent info? Because you presented it as the latter.
