It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

No problem. We are stacked in AMC, even if Kevin leaves. I would consider these 2 next summer when they become available and we might lose Bernardo.

We are pushing hard for Bruno G, and he is not joining to sit on the bench. He takes the starting spot next to Rodri and Foden ahead of them, with Bernardo/Jeremy/Jack/Oscar playing RW/LW. Apparently, we see Oscar as AMC long-term as well (Foden's backup). We have the likes of Kova, Rico, Nunes competing for the CM spot, and who knows what will happen with Perrone/Echeverri (he is AMC) in Jan.

edit: forgot about Savio whom I would love to see this season!
None of our current AMC's can do what Kev can really do when he is fully fit. Bruno G would be a decent stop gap but he too isn't Kev at his absolute peak.

Why, money talks. It works for other teams why not us. All to defeatest for me especially as we have the pep factor and are the the best team in the world
Money means jack shit when the player is content to stay for another season.

Why is it madness?
Why going for the best, is called madness?

We lose quality players and replace them with average players, will end up in a disaster. We keep dropping in quality and then expect to challenge in all competitions like we have been doing. We buy average, we end up average.
Signing Eze would not end up in a disaster. He’s a very good player, but at the same time I don’t think he’d be a significant upgrade on either of Grealish, Doku, Bobb and Savio. Neither weaken or strengthen us significantly, but would cost £70m

Still can manage Kev for a season and start getting the replacements lined up ready for next summer.

Hope you are right. He only played the latter part of the season and was quite clearly struggling with the pace of the game. Personally I’d set up without him and use him as an impact sub when we really need him. I doubt he’d want that role though. Got a feeling he will head to Saudi personally.

If Kevin believes that he will struggle to maintain his elite standards over a season then I would expect him to move before that decline reveals itself..

Kev has still has plenty to offer although it is at the stage where we start looking to replace him. I don't think Kev is in that much in a rush to leave. We have one more season under Pep.
