Surely his legal team will be pushing it as well? either charge him with proof or drop it?

If anyone watched Xavi's press conference this week, he made it abundantly clear that they don't have the financial capacity to pay the 50 million pound release clause. I'm willing to bet that he stays for another year or 2 before going back to Portugal...

Hull have just changed managers. Apparently a difference of opinion as to the direction the club is taking which usually means the manager wants a player the board won't sanction so Delap may not be going there. Just putting two and two together.

Callum Doyle will probably stay at Leicester as well on a permanent deal maybe with a buy back? £25m plus right there as well? Plus Kabore at luton, Delap etc all going as well.

If so, they can drag it out until the end of July.

Paqueta isn't happening in my opinion. I think City would have hoped it would have been done by the end of the season. We won't wait and hope through June and possibly July as well.
 


According to the information of BILD, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness, Dani Olmo is now doubtful for RB Leipzig’s final fixture of this season, having seemingly now made his last appearance for the club as ‘signs point to farewell’ in the upcoming summer window.

Manchester City and Barcelona are said to be among the interested parties, however unsurprisingly, the La Liga club will not be able to activate the player’s €60 million Leipzig release clause due to their ongoing financial restraints.

In a huge boost to those wanting to see Olmo make the move to the Etihad Stadium, the report claims that the 26-year-old’s preference is to move to England, where Pep Guardiola’s side ‘in particular are very interested’.

Olmo is ‘close friends’ with his former RB Leipzig teammate and now Manchester City star Joško Gvardiol, and BILD claim that the pair have already spoke over the Spain international’s possible arrival at the Premier League club.
 


According to the information of HITC’s Graeme Bailey, Manchester City have now ‘spoken to’ Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong about a potential return to the Etihad Stadium, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa all said to be engaged in the race for the player.

It is detailed that Frimpong has opened discussions with Manchester City via his representatives, with the Etihad club currently ‘doing their checks’ on the player’s availability as they look to ‘discover the overall cost of a potential deal’.

Perhaps of greatest interest to potential suitors is the 23-year-old’s release clause in his existing Bayer Leverkusen contract, understood to be worth just £34 million.
Away from the aforementioned quartet of English clubs interested in Frimpong, HITC also report that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both on the trail of the defender, who could be destined for the pinnacle of European football through his next move.
 
Release Clause FC is probably the best way to strike with another shortened summer and an international tournament. Just give Pep what he wants and get them in the door so we have even the slimmest of chances of him extending his contract.
