It's Quiet.....a new beginning.

I am starting to get the feeling that we are done and dusted this transfer window.

Well if you are right we can forget winning the league back or making significant inroads in Europe.

I wouldn't be gutted if we stayed as we are. I reckon the two new arrivals tick all the boxes in the right areas for me and for those saying won't do well in Europe I think it will be the opposite. I believe having a strong settled squad is more important than a whole host of new players who may take time to settle. Of course I could be wrong but what I cannot see are the players at City falling over themselves to quit. Tevez was asked by Pellegrini whether he wanted to stay and was told he wanted out, that allowed us to sign the two players. For those who understand squad rules we are at the maximum allowed for the CL. We could sign two more players for the prem squad but who of the players we are linked with would come to City if they couldn't be part of the CL.

We were told sometime back that Barry, Lescott and Sinclair could leave, most want Maicon, Kolorov and Garcia out but who has made a concrete bid for any of them. Barry now linked with Arsenal, Maicon has said he is staying, and it seems Kolorov agents has said the same thing. It appears we might be giving a new contract to Lescott and Sinclair has been lined to WBA. No one has yet been linked for Garcia. It is easy to say oh well these lad won't get picked for CL but that ain't going to foster new team relations if a couple of the players can't participate in CL.

Pellegrini I am sure will take his time over assessing who he wants and who he doesn't and I think for the reasons above that is why we seem to be almost doing the deals but not finishing them off.

I also think we might be finished aswell. I remember Soriano or
Txixi saying after we'd signed Navas " It's always good to get our
business done early in the window ". That says to me, that was
our aim and we've done it.

I do not believe we are done in the transfer window yet

The reason is we were clearly IN for isco even after signing Navas and Fernandinho

We lost out only when madrid came sniffing

We also sold balotelli in winter and now tevez leaving us with only dzeko and aguero and probably guidetti

We would need atleast one striker for the two who left ( tevez, balo)

So i think we might get an attacking mid ( Reus, Draxler, Di maria, Lamela, Bruma, Bernard, or jovetic due to his versatility)

We might get a forward which looks more likely to be Negredo, I still hope we can get lewandowski instead though.
