I must be alone in this but, should it happen, the Messi deal would worry me. I just don't think he can cut it anymore. To me it looks like his legs have gone and I think he'd flop now in the Premier League. Maybe he'd get a 2nd wind coming to us but equally it could be a very expensive mistake.

Come to think of it I'm not overly excited at the prospect of Koulibaly either but I appreciate we need someone back there to lead as we've no leaders left in defence.
In a team falling apart he scored more than Aguero with more assists than KDB , if that’s him with his legs gone it’ll do me

Iv just seen first hand how Messi would impact city , my little brother is ten hes into football, he goes on this forum on his phone hes seen Tolmies messi news and is now acting like its christmas. He just talked to his friends on PS4 saying city might be getting Messi, his friends arnt really into football but all of them just said theyd want a city shirt if messi joined also would want to go to the stadium just to see him play. Then said theyd start watching city games on tv because of Messi.

His legs have gone as the weight of carrying Barcelona on his own has finally crushed him. He's remarkably fit for a 33 year old and it's not like his game is box to box.
Half the time he strolls about and then bang the ball comes to him and its in the net in a heartbeat.
He's low on confidence, the team and possibly the club are low on confidence and they need a complete overhaul. Messi's time is done there, he comes to us and he gets the hunger back and even it's for a year we get one magic year of Messi, it'll be an absolute pleasure seeing him play for us if it happens.
Saying his legs have gone is very wide of the mark.

The Napoli game shows Messi is still far from being finished. Single handedly ripped apart Napoli and dribbled past defenders like it was nothing still. Don’t think his legs are near gone, and definitely wouldn’t flop.

With respect, we currently have £470m sat in the CFG coffers for something just like this.

As I've said, Messi needs to be taken in isolation for obvious financial reasons and complexities.

He may not even cost us much of a transfer fee if certain players are also included in the equation.

Removing the wages or Vinny, Silva, Bravo and Sane has clawed back the best part of £600k a week so far.

You only have to listen to Khaldoon's interview this evening to see City have exceptions to the desired profile we will also be bringing in.

Im presuming the certain players would be at least Garcia?

There is also the rumour of Angelino being wanted by them but i thought that may have been to push Leipzig to paying up for him

Id be gutted about Bernardo - I for one would be willing to py more upfront and keep Bernardo - he is a special player and we could have another 10 yrs out of him and he is capable of becoming a premiership legend imho.

Mate, don't worry about money, if he's available we get him then we enjoy watching probably the greatest ever footballer play for us. Don't worry about what rival fans/clubs/the media say either as they're all cunts.

Messi is a genius and remains a player of the highest quality. I would not want Bernardo to be a part of any transfer away from the club unless he wishes to go and has told the board of that, which I doubt.

Wasting your time Tolm, no amount of evidence will convince him.

If he hears something credible, it gets the obligatory Bullshit retort
