Sam Lee becomes rag because he doesn't posts what City fans want to read. He may well go wrong bcoz Txiki and all don't consult him before doing anything.
Tomorrow if Sam Says we will sign Haaland and Grealish than he will be believed right away bcoz that is what people want to read
Nonsense. He lost all credibility over FFP.

If he told me it was going to be sunny today I would take my coat. Rag? Who cares!

All I am interested in is factual non biased reporting. I won’t get that from this 2 bit hustler.

I'm a fan of how Txiki does his business but fuck me, if there's one thing he can't do it's negotiate a good sale.

Players like Sterling, Bernardo and Laporte should bring in over £200m but you just know they wouldn't if we sold them.
Those 3 are not getting 200m in this market, or any market in fact. All 3 have been on the decline this season. They are on huge wages and in Bernardo and Laporte it seems they are actively finding a way out of the club.

Txiki has to get the best deal possible for them and replace them with people who want to be here.

He believed City would not get banned, however he said if they did then it would go to CAS and City would over turn it. Which we did. What is the problem?

Maybe £200m was OTT but some seem to be happy to give them away on the cheap. That was my (badly made) point.

Sam had us hung, drawn and quartered. Did you phone up the transfer hotline and pay £1.50 per min to gain the exclusive tripe he spouts? Or maybe that was you smashing up the defibrillator ;)

Social media journalism is nothing but click bait. The information posted is vague enough to backtrack. Full of ifs and maybes and a lot of stating the obvious.

Depends how you want to look at it, getting them out of the club at any price is perhaps better than nothing. Its not going to be peanuts no but some people probably will be disappointed with the fees that arrive (if they do).

He can only go off what he is told, if he believed the person who told him then that is what he will report surely?
I didn't phone any hotline but I pay for The Athletic, a lot of people seem to have thing for Sam Lee because of the work of the aggregrators on social media, it helps to read the full article for the context and the actual words he has written.

When you compare some of the fees other clubs (namely Chelsea and Liverpool) get for their unproven youngsters then it's pretty bad. The small fortune you've mentioned is a combined total. Admittedly some may never (most) have made it here but they're still leaving one of the best clubs in Europe so must have something about them.

Look at Tosin's fee compared to Brewster last Summer.

Of the trio, it doesn't have to be one club who gets them, obviously, but there's clubs in Europe who are rumoured to be will to spend big despite obvious financial issues. I personally don't think we should lower our prices/do other clubs a favour by giving away our top players on the cheap.

We don't sell first teamers very often presumably because they don't usually ask to leave so now that situation is apparently here, it's our time to make an impression.
He got £60m for a player signed for £28m going into the last year of his contract coming back from an ACL injury that's unbelievable business. Also the money made from selling youngsters and inserting selling clauses/buyback clauses is very good business hes actually very good at his job.

Laporte is replaceable, so is Jesus. The only question would be if Bernardo is sold what value can we get and more importantly what replacement can we get

He only reports what his WhatsApp group cooks up. If it floats your boat great, not for me thx. You would be safer paying @tolmie's hairdoo £1pound for transfer info ;)

Much easier to set prices when you're known as a selling club. Liverpool epitomise it. The American model of selling to buy.
