Exactly. Messi is calling the shots, so it still beggars belief he is playing right now with no contract already sorted at Barca.

It only makes sense if he has decided to join another club on July 1 or agrees to a Barca extension prior to it.

Doesn't sound as though Barca have certainty.

That Joan Gamper invite really is a weird one.

It’s all very weird. Does Laporta know Messi isn’t re-signing so gets his hacks in the press to make it look like Barca are buying half our squad and to unsettle our players. Is it retaliation against us? If so then it doesn’t tie in with the friendly match organised.
Unless he’s gambling on a bad outcome for Barca with Messi and pre-empting using Messi’s wages on new arrivals
Laporta also has strong ties with our management team and Pep so why would they even do that?

We need Hercule Poirot to work this one out.

Laporta knows if Messi is resigning or not....he doesn't need to tell bluemoon.
His 'hacks' are simply journalists making up their own story/lies to have something to submit to their editor/boss and collect clicks to make money from advertising like them all....nothing to do with him.

your welcome

Except that’s not what you said. No ‘IF’ at all:

We are focusing on the wrong players on the wrong positions. Don't want Ramos, first signing should be a striker.”

The chairman himself said in his end of season interview we would be signing a replacement for Sergio. He sounded pretty focused to me.

Yes he did Danny fuckin ings on his way lol!

Sometimes you wonder if City are working on something really big - like 2 from Kane/Haaland and Messi?! (for that Bernardo and Jesus could be a tempting trade off!)
Outgoings whether it be fringe players or first teamers could potentially raise a lot of spare cash, sell on clause with Sancho too, and wages left by Aguero help. Left back and striker the main aim though.

Martinez, Mendes, and Felix are another 3 that I wouldn't say no to but you've got to make smart decisions in order not to let the rivals close the gap.

Indeed, I was being being kind. His numbers over the last three seasons are thereabouts where not worse than Mane's, Salah's, fucking Vardy's, Raheem 'lets get rid of' Sterling's, Aguero's when fit, Aubameyang's, heck even Ings last two seasons is not far off. 20ish goals a season, pretty average.
Well we all rate Aguero as one of the best to play in the premier league dont we ???

so going by the stats if Kane scores 18 in his next 30 games he will have exact same stats as Aguero , playing for a worse team.

So was Kun slightly above average or a all time great ??

I actually think we are bit soft and naive at times and if Laporte was to leave I personally think Ramos would be a great addition. Can never have enough leaders in the changing room and would be good to rotate with Dias in cup games.

Would also allow us to put all the money from potential Bernardo and Laporte sales towards Kane and grealish
I'm all for it, get him up against Salah again next season...

If Ramos comes, I doubt he’d want to play rotation, which leaves us in the same situation we have right now (assuming Laporte leaves)

I find it really hard to believe that we could be close to getting Messi to sign and there isn't a single semi reputable source saying there's a chance
