I said as much earlier. Putting a deadline on it affords us the time to look for alternatives. Leaving it to deadline day would have been madness.
If we wanted Kane and only Kane, we could have left it to deadline day

By pulling out with nearly a week left, maybe that suggests we do have other possible targets

Do you think that's us done or is there going to be a plan b?

City always said happy to go with what we have if didn't get Kane, but never quite believed it.

Trying to give benefit of the doubt, and five days is a long time in football, as we discovered today.

I do think if anyone can manufacture a deal out of nowhere, it will be Mendes, whether it involves Ronaldo and Bernie, or someone else.

To be fair if I was TH I would rightly fuck off and give no information anymore, People on here dont deserve him. He comes on to give us information when he clearly doesn't need or have to!
Yer i agree,i think hes been pretty well informed by someone on inside as his info can only mean that,i do belive him when a final bid went in and think hes been great for indfo on transfers so lay off the guy, personaly if am bein honest,i think 128 mill was more than fair if was that, and dont blame city for what looks like to me as a walk away from deal, also this wont be over, someone of a very high standard will be comin in,go all out for haaland fuck it

What do you make of Ronaldo rumours mate? Can't see us moving for him this late in the window.

Mendes won't let the grass grow under his feet, that's for sure.

Only he will know how serious Ronaldo is about leaving Juve and maybe joining us.

If those moving parts fit, then City would be stupid not to give it a go.

Perhaps Bernardo leaving is the key to it all.

Pep is already on record saying he wants to leave.

We should use the "Kane money" to bring a real LB and CDM.
Nuno Mendes and Camavinga will cost less than 100m and both have the potential to be a WC players and serve us for more than a decade.
Never gonna happen though :/

We don't have room in the squad to do that anyway. And we still need to sign a forward

Makes sense, nothing is straightforward with Mendes I suppose. imo, keep Bernardo fwiw, rather not weaken our midfield depth if there's no striker.
