If you genuinely believe that then fair enough,i don't feel the same concerns.

We were amazing last year in all but the games that Pep didnt implode in,and now we have added a world class,game changing,midfielder who will provide magic alongside our other world class game changing midfielders in KDB and Foden.

Who would improve what we have? That’s the crux of the question rather than just signing someone for the sakes of it. Wilfred Bony ring any bells? Torres is doing a fine job in that position - as he did last season - scored more goals against Arsenal than Lukaku if that’s your barometer. Jesus can play there if needs must, we can revert to a false 9, we have Delap. We have goal scorers all over the pitch, we are just fine.

We havent stayed the same though,and thats before our incredibly talented kids are considered.
 
It’s been a very disappointing window but we will still win the league. I hope the transfer team have learnt lessons as not getting Kane and Ronaldo is poor. I expect a few in January and a huge summer next year.

Am I the only person who finds it weird to call opposition players by their first name? Could never imagine myself saying ' Come on Ruben, get a tackle in or Paul will send Marcus clean through'.

We’re gonna follow up he pattern of this window. Only one signing next summer to fix a non-issue in the squad: a new goalkeeper.

Having watched a bit of Mendes he looks like the kind of player that could also mature into a pretty damned good CDM ala Fernandinho. Don't see why City don't just spend the money, now Mendy has gone for good, and we get a player with loads of potential who could be here for years.

Please don’t talk about delap he is no where near world class for a striker like we need. Teams are strengthening with top talent and your saying delap. Maybe one day but today he isn’t even fit enough to tie Danny ings shoes. Last season everyone was talking crap about Ferran and even again Spurs they were and now he is our savior in the striker postion. We do have goal scores the issue is we don’t have clinical goal scores. We don’t have goal scores like aguero was even last season when he came back he scored two goals which IMO he was the only one in our team that could have finished it that clinically. That’s what we need and are missin. We won’t have 20 shots every game to score one goal. We need a player that when we have 1 shot we finish it. We need another Alvero is what we need
 


I mean it's a fair point that @twosips has also highlighted. We know where we needed to strengthen and as he says the end of season video suggested we would be making some waves in the market.

If that's not the case then don't say it. I think we can all manage our expectations if they're just straight with us

Kids won’t win us the league man. Not now anyways. This isn’t a midtable team where we can rely on the kids. We are a world class club top 5 in the world. Kids can help in the cups but kids won’t mean anything in cl or the league against tougher opponents
