It's a ridicilous scenario to be honest, distract the sheep from the recession and the war, ooh look 2 men said a naughty word, defend the man if you like babes but dont expect me to agree with you. You know, I'd have said much worse than Brand or Ross and so would most of my mates cos in the real world shit is much worse!

No it isn't... and you're completely jumping to conclusions, why would the media want to distract people from the recession when they're making money off it every day?

If you'd have said much worse you'd probably have had a harsher consequence... as of now the only thing that has happened is both were suspended pending an inquiry, which is standard practise.

The fact you not only would bring something like that up on a number of phone message to a person you'd never met but you already know you'd have taken it much further doesn't really say too much about the mates you hang around with... or yourself really, does it mate?

Listened to the calls on youtube. Funny. They left a message saying who they were... he(Sachs) should have been a bigger man and laughed it off. He was prepared to talk on the show before the call and in my opinion should have known what to expect.

What we've had is

10,000 complainers who hate the BBC cos Sky tells them to and complained because the MoS / Sky told them to.

10,000 people who hate Ross / Brand's style / material and complained because the MoS / Sky told them to

10,000 people who are jealous of Ross / Brand's payscale and complained because the MoS / Sky told them to

2 people who actually heard it and were bothered enough about Manuel/The slag's feelings to bother to complain.

So now Richard Littlejohn decides what we watch & hear - who's next? Mark Radcliffe ('too northern'), all new comedy ('I didn't laugh = ban it'), Family Guy (bad morals) etc etc????

What wouldn't he have allowed of stuff in the past? Fawlty Towers? Blackadder? League of Gentlemen? Punk Rock? Peel? Mark & Lard? etc etc etc.

This paper has a consitent record of shoddy, reactionary journalism and represents no-one but the narrow interests of its owners (a long way from its readers'!!). Sky's agenda is obvious.

The BBC is the best single thing about this country and the greatest single cultural force on the planet.

We, Britain, have very little that's 'ours' and any good; the BBC is on that list and we've just allowed it to get publicly fucked by snivelling journos with axes to grind.

We'll regret the last week or so in years to come

The whole situation is ridiculous.

That slut has hired Max Clifford as her PR.

The argument we have here is down to license fee and the old traditions of the BBC being this upstanding citizen of broadcasting. People want to have a pop for those reasons. Its not about Brand and Ross anymore, in my opinion anyway.

I guarantee Brand will be back on bbc radio within 5 years. Just like he is now back on mtv, even presenting their awards ceremony!!!

I like Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross. Im suprised the Daily Mail havent reviewed or put Ponderland on the cover. After all he was talking about Beastiality. Lock up your pets, Brand is on a rampage!!!!
