City told BBC Radio Manchester that no inducements were offered to Helan to break a contract with Rennes and that the transfer was totally legal.

The clubs concerned, City and Chelsea are owned by rich and powerful oligarchs yet the kernel of the argument is about the free movement of people which the European Union was supposed to allow for.

French football is renowned for being built on Senegelse and North African football.

If a club induces a player to break a contract, then I guess there's a case to answer, but from what I have heard that can not be argused in this case - the player was already in dispute with Rennes

They said it was legal to a local radio station which isn't exactly aimed at the wider population. What we really need to quell the talk is a statement on the OS which would be sent to SSN and the like.
