no need for sorry's mate, I think we are all a bit on edge over this tbh...funny how its just french clubs ?? Chelsea, scum& us all reported by french clubs..Elan has been with us since feb...so why has it taken 7 months for this to come up ??

Exactly what I said pal. They are just jumping on the bandwagon. Twatini has started this crusade against english clubs. He needs to be removed as head of UEFA

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

Actually reading into it, its the player that has broken the rules not man city..they(rennes) had a pre contract with him to sign for them if he played france junior level,,which he did.he broke that contrct not us...and again I ask...why didnt they kick up a fuss immediately.?

Let's just see what we release later

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

what's a pre-contract agreement anyway? Cos it sounds to me like they're trying to say they have transfer rights to a player who's too young to be signed on a professional contract which would be -- ho,hum- against the rule?

fifa will use any excuse to stop us.

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

As far as I know it's only French clubs that have this ludicrous pre contract thing with under 16s. I think everywhere else you can't have any contract until you are 16. (please correct me if I'm wrong)

IMO it should be illegal to have any contract with a child (or their parents). If a transfer happens then a countries football association should work with both parties to agree a reasonable fee (so that academies gain sufficient funding to continue and grow). Academies are there to provide the opportunity for children to get a good education and develop a career hopefully at some level within the game. As soon as they are only there to develop players for one club and screw everything else then they IMO are in the realm of exploitation. I like the fact that most of our academy graduates seem happy that they club has helped them (even if they didn't end up making it into our first team).

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

Imagine it though... Richest club in the world not allowed to sign players...this would be what citys all about lol

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

I knew they were coming after us next, every club in europe is guilty of tapping up. The fact of the matter is they want to stop City and Chelsea's spending power as it upsets the G14 clubs.

They're dark forces at work in football and we will see them working to stop us at any cost joining the top table, Utd, Liverpool, Ajax and Madrid have been tapping up for years but a blind eye will be turned to them.

If UEFA mess us about too much we should set up our own league, our owners are big enough to do it, we should invite Chelsea to join us, lets see UEFA's arses fall out then!

Don't worry about it mate. Just politely advise said rags, that the ruling, if it ever gets enforced, will not be until after a thorough investigation and in all likelyhood will be 2-3 years down the line. We'll have spent another £500M by then assemebling the squad we need. A transfer embargo will not bother us at all.

At least we have the notice this may happen. Seems like Chelsea have been caught on the hop somewhat...

Re: Oh dear - City worse than Chelsea

Didn't think it would take the media, Twatini and Twatter long to have a go. We should follow United's stance then make our friends at Barca and Madrid make it clear to these fuckwits who is the real power in football- even Chelsea might join in as well.
