Jack Grealish

Not an insult, just being truthful in that you know very little to suggest we will prosper again without doing anything as the reasons are so obvious.
I'm 68 years old, been a City fan and general footie fan since age 10, I've played the game and coached my 2 sons teams, for you to tell me I know very little about the game is to me an insult.

However....

Once again, what are these obvious reasons we can't repeat last season ?

And you reckon we will be OK this season because of that?
hes got a point, we did do ok last season without a recognised striker. We won 2 out of 4 trophies and could and should have won another at least. The fact that we didnt wasnt because we didnt have a recognised striker or Grealish in the team. It was down to Pep messing about with the team when he didnt need to.

I still don't agree that we should be spending hundreds of millions on overvalued players.
We already are attacked in the press continually for buying our team.

I just feel now we have spent a billion or so it's time to start bringing through some of this young talent at our academy.
It seems that besides Foden we are not giving these lads a chance, and I know people say we sell them as they're not good enough, but what about Sancho for example, we didn't give him a chance.
The more we buy established players like Kane and Grealish the less chance for our academy players to progress at our club.

PR is very important. In my opinion we need to be perceived as a club the gives youth a chance.
When are players like Doyle and Delap ever going to have a chance ?
We’ve just given Cole Palmer a five year contract. I think he’ll become a first team player.

Doyle won’t make it at City, maybe not even in the Prem to start off his first move post-City.

Not sure about Delap yet, can’t work out how good he is.

We finished 12 points off with Grealish out for more than a third of the season. We were on course around Christmas before he got injured. This is exactly what the club will be selling to Grealish - if we don't make it by 2023 then I'm sure he will go. It's sad that so many of you seem to have forgotten what it's like to have a proper connection with one of your players.
My word, you talk bollocks. I'm sure there was no 'proper' connection with Sergio, Silva, Zabba, Foden or Kompany. If I am correct in what you are trying to tell us, should Grealish stay fit for evermore at Villa you will win the league. Christ, what a dreamer you are. You finished in the bottom half of the table last year after what was, in essence, a fluke start. Do you really think you'll beat Dippers 7-2 this season for example. What a wonderful world you must live in.
