Killing football by throwing 200m plus into the covid stricken pot.

Saving it more like.

I don’t really see it as that. At the end of the day, all clubs are struggling, even City are. The clubs plan to acquire young talent and sell them on in years to come is paying off. We’ve also still in credit with the sales of Angelino and Sane. I don’t mean to twist your post, but we’re not money bags flashing our cash while everyone else is struggling, we’ve earned the right to spend big money on two quality players. It’s the first time we’ve gone north of £70m, which is unbelievable when you think about the shit that gets wrote about us.

They two nobheads on sky sports just talking about madison and arsenal, saying all so nicely it could be an easy transfer, 70m and maybe some players going the other way.
The difference in reporting is startling.
Monday night on Talksport Kelly, Evans and Curtis spent a segment talking about us potentially spending £200m with all the usual negativity and went through the full bingo card.
Before the ad break Kelly says 'next we will discuss the transfers of White and Varane and the commercial power of the PL league over their continental rivals.
Clear and obvious.

Still can't believe we've actually went and bought a player from within the league for a record sum, and the fact it's Jack Grealish. All a bit surreal to me.

Can't believe Trevor Sinclair is trying to do point scoring with talkshite, it's disappointing, but I guess when you stay in a tragic environment it rubs off on you. Pathetic behaviour, the comments make no sense.

Why are we still discussing and or entertaining this “league record fee of £100m”?
it’s been said several times today that the Villa side are saying it’s £75m as a fee with potential bonuses that could rise to a further £25m if achieved. They may never come to fruition, if they do then it’ll mean winners money coming in so what does it matter.
Either way, it’ll show as a fee of £75m and as such NOT a league record. A bloody good bit of business off City mind but that’s boil the piss even more. It also means other clubs like Spurs cannot use the “record” as a bargaining tool against us.
