Jack Grealish

Transfer valuations are not a reflection of the quality of the player. They are solely a reflection of what that player is worth to the clubs in question.

Villa don't need to sell. Grealish is their talisman, and they would not be able to replace what he gives their team without a large investment in new players. They are also potentially selling to a cash-rich club. They can more or less name their price.

City, on the other hand, will need to move someone on to accommodate Grealish. Bernardo is unhappy. Bernardo wants to move to a league where none of the viable options are cash-rich. That's a very different position that City find themselves in.

Both are worth what a buying club are willing to pay. I'm getting a bit sick of people going on about Bernardo's valuation as if they know what it actually is. If he's unhappy and desperately wants to leave should we price him out of a move? Or should we show a bit of compassion and grant him a move at a reasonable price, after the service he's given? We tend to treat our players well, I hope that continues.
Exactly, well put.

Wonder what his number will be
Was thinking about that earlier.

If Jesus leaves could see Kane taking 9 and Grealish taking 10. If Jesus doesn’t leave then Kane takes 10 and not sure what Grealish takes.

I do think why do numbers matter when names are on the shirts?

Seems like an inhumanly good player.
From watching the main benefit would be we will move the ball forward more quickly which is exactly what we need to do. To many times the play is slowed down allowing teams to get the defender set. He will also help to unlock packed defences once the ball is in the oppositions box. I just wish it wasn’t Bernie that was the one likely to leave

Slightly off topic but if anyone fancies a giggle, this is a hilarious read from the bottom of p467 onwards, as the Delph pic at Wilmslow Hospital first emerged on Twitter. The cast includes Photoshop ‘expert’, a trainers consultant, amateur dermatologists and more delusion than the Anfield Wrap on the eve of a new season. The change in tone once the penny finally drops is glorious

I think his output (as in carries, dribbles, and pass attemtps) would be lower at City. I've noticed at City that most players not named De Bruyne tend to play a more grounded, muted style under Pep than what we'd expect from them. Workmen over showmen (Bernardo, Jesus, Mahrez, Gundogan etc). Even Foden is relatively conservative under Pep. So I think whilst a lot of Grealish's qualities would still shine at City, it'd just be in a more risk averse way.

Although when De Bruyne doesn't play it'll be a far different picture (like with other players). Grealish would be a real force then, and it'd be really nice to have a player who's a more reliable backup to KDB's creativity than Cancelo.
This is nonsense, they simply don't see the possibilities or are not brave enough to try. We need more "balls" players and hopefully Grealish will be one of them.

its what rumoured to be the selling price ? barcelona want to swap 2 players for him and they say its worth £50million
first of all, that's not even true, the "rumour" said "60m+" and that was also bullshit, it came from a barca source. city will never sell for that price
