Sam went all in with Alves and was burned. He went all-in on City not being banned by UEFA and was burned. He's adopted a lot more caution since because he got a lot of flack & City are tighter than they previously were.
 
No chance Grealish uses us to get a higher pay cheque at Villa. Doing so would create a lot of skeptical people at other clubs in the future as well. My guess is Villa (as reported) have a contract ready but Grealish wants the move. City wouldn't be in this otherwise.

No fan of Grealish but the more competition the better for all, you can never have enough of it.

Mahrez was a different and brilliant player last season but he and the rest have to come back this new season and do it again.

It’s not like we’ve never been used/played before though. I can’t work out which way this is going. Both seem plausible.
