You got your big fucking jackpot when you left Neverton.
Not Citys fault you weren't up to the standard required and injured for a lot of the time
Keep being bitter Jack. We will just carry on winning trophies
DON'T JUST READ THE HEADLINE

I'd imagine the lads seething reading that this morning. I hope forv the editors sake that Jack does go on to have a glittering international career, one in which he refuses to ever give interviews to the Daily Mail. That ought to teach them.

Please help, can't find the bit where he says anything wrong. Would be much obliged if somebody could point it out to me.

The media don't focus on the nice stuff because it doesn't sell as many papers. Rodwell / his advisors have been about long enough to know the media would use Jack's lack of game of time against us and the lad was hardly going to remind the press of his injuries.

It is a shame that Jack wasn't fitter because we may never know if he was good enough for our first team. If Jack was fit in the last 12 months then it was too late as we had bought reinforcements (to the point where we could let Barry go out on loan).

That said Our Club is not behind the wall in trying to use the media as evidenced by our misleading "holistic" claims. Hopefully playing the same system through the age groups will help players to develop but we are years away from an homegrown English player getting a run in the team.

What annoys me about this is the playing regular comment. How many of our current squad could you say will play every week?

Kompany, Yaya, Silva, Aguero and Hart.

Obviously Zaba last year but if Richards had been fit enough he'd of rotated.

Same with Milner if you want to play 30+ league games then sign for someone who isn't involved in champions league and regular league cup & fa cup runs. Just checked wikipedia (not great i know) but he (Milner) played 44 games last year not sure how many he started but that isnt bad!

Sorry but I don't get that bit, where did we say we'll introduce young players before they're actually good enough?

And for everyone getting their panties in a twist over this thread try reading the actual article rather than the headline. In fact try a little game called spot the quote, believe me you'll struggle.
Sly ran a similar one where the caption is "Rodwell glad to be out of City" and the headline is "Premier League: Sunderland's Jack Rodwell glad Manchester City career is over". Nowhere in the article does he say any such thing. Media are scum, get over it.

City ruining English football shocker headline again. No surprise there then. Can't see anything derogatory in what Jack actually said myself.
Doubtless we will be blamed if Rodwell doesn't achieve the glittering world football career he was destined for, much in the same way Adam Johnson has.
I would start with banning any journo that comes out with that sort of hogwash article from the Etihad until the idiot concerned prints an apology in whichever rag he has the misfortune of working for.
Does anybody know if clubs have the authority to ban journos?

City fans jump on player based on headlines....... Mmmmmm where have we heard that before-? Get behind our current and former players FFS - don't assume the worst, assume the best of them until they definitely over step the mark. This is one aspect where some on here lack class.
