Jack Rodwell

brilliant today, top performance, possibly in front of Barry in terms of pecking order now?

1 game don't make him a world beater. Gaz Baz will be back but Rodders could be the future .

Really solid performance from him today - was booked pointlessly by Marriner. Can see him being a top player and the long term replacement for Barry providing he stays fit and injury free!

His obvious hard work is paying off, feel good for him...Here is to hoping he stays fit.

Theoretically, if he was fit for a whole season, could see him being a double figure scoring midfielder, akin to Lampard..Looks a threat in opposition box.

Great performance today, he'll be a big player for us in the future. Very happy for him as well, he clearly wants to succeed here and is willing to do everything in his power to make it.

Future Yaya, in my opinion.

Dont think he can pass the ball like yaya, but then again, very few can, very very few, if any. But he certainly has all the ingredients to be a world class box to box midfielder.

He looked very athletic today and dominant in the air, much more so than Barry on either count.

I reckon Gaz Baz has got another season as a first tier midfielder for us, especially as he doesn't have any discernible pace to lose and his positional sense is so exceptional, but injuries permitting, Rodwell is going to come increasingly to the fore to eventually replace him.
