Jack Wilshere

Wilshere is excellent and is destined to be world class if he doesn't fall into the trap of the typical young English player. We're seeing some good talent emerge at last like Wilshere, Adam Johnson, Rodwell, Carroll, Wickham, and Hart. I hope our academy can produce some top English players in future - we have some talented kids like Trippier and Mee but no one as yet who is looking like a future England superstar as SWP and Michael Johnson did in the past.

I'm not seeing anything special in Gibbs at Arsenal though, he seems a liability to me. I understand he has had injuries and maybe that has hurt his progress and he won't become what was expected.

Defo pure class, i didnt see a longer time such strong Midfielder at Camp Nou (not Barcas).

I think Barca is going to jump over their shadow, forget Fabgeras and make a new bid for Wilshere.

See if he retains that spark after 100 energy sapping prem games, being clattered and stifled as teams get wise, before going overboard.

Razor sharp reactions and a yard of pace give him the edge right now, but they are the gifts of youth, I've seen them fade as the grind takes toll.

It's influence and pure technique that make them great. Thus far he's looked good technically but I've not seen anything genuinely outstanding. I can't seperate his ability from his sharpness. He is hungry and single minded so he stands a good chance.

Then you dont know much about football. What helps Jack more than anything is he's got an amazing first touch and ball control. Watch him run without the ball and you notice he's not quick at all. But when he has the ball on his feet, he runs pretty much the pace he runs without the ball and has the ball controlled. Unlike Walcott, Wilshere is pure ability and not much athleticism

His first touch is good but....what amazes me is the drive over the first yard, and the speed at which he's picking up on the loose stuff and making it good. That's sharpness. Could be sth really great but I've seen it come and go. Stevie Ireland was the one of the sharpest I ever saw at one point, has a tremendous first touch too, but the sharpness didn't last, the physical edge faded and he became lost. I don't expect this to happen to Wilshire but it's still a question mark in my head, great for a few months isn't conclusive when it's all being done at 100 miles an hour. Fabregas, on the other hand is of the type who always had time, no matter what was happening. He never had to rush. That's never ever going to leave him.

I agree mate i think he is amazingly talented but unfortunatly this is bluemoon and he plays for arse, so put ya tin hat on

So just because Wilshere doesn't play for MC he can't be a good player and isn't worth of discussing?

Logic.

Agreed top class player but not sure about playing the game in the perfect spirit though. He has a nasty streak in him. Either that or his tackling is far lacking compared to the rest of his game, some of his tackles he puts in can be very dangerous. A bit like Scholes.

When Man U were playing Arsenal on Sat, Wilshere was having a go at Scholes about his tackle on Nasri and the commentator said,'there is Scholes taking to his heir apparent'.

Already 19 and already world class. Would get into ANY side in the world including Barca and Spain.

With him and that Mceacheran, England's future is very bright.
