That’s what I mean, I think both deals very difficult so I think we will be signing players just a level below but with potential to reach high levels.

That piece doesn't say that. It says the Bayern management is keen and has offered him €25m per season, but he wants to think about it over the winter break.

I think done people get carried away by the tournament Spain won. It’s not like he is destroying la Liga since then. But I still believe that Doku + savinho ain’t enough at this point. Yet the wing shouldn’t be a priority.

Agree - wings are an area I would have an eye on and if a deal came about act but given the two you mention plus foden, Bernardo and Jack I think we are covered enough to prioritise other positions
 
Trying to get one of the best young German players out of Bayern Munich seems impossible. I would be stunned, if any English club managed to prize him away.
 
If we're going to do it then now is the time, i'm sure Bayern will be keeping an eye on Wirtz as a replacement. All these other clubs would start conversations with the players agents early, start seeing what they're looking for and giving them proposals to turn their head a bit - hopefully we have too. If he stays at Bayern he gets almost guaranteed trophies, but i still think he can be convinced to become an absolute megastar at City like Haaland is. We've gotten a little better with that, although still lightyears from the likes ofReal Madrid.
 
I initially thought we had a chance but with several high-earning contracts set to expire in 2025 and Bayern seemingly inclined to either part ways with those players or renew them on reduced terms, it frees up a significant amount of money for wages.

I tend to agree with you. If we were to get Musiala it would be a masterstroke. I am still hopeful but feeling less confident. Would be hoping to have heard more rumours of interest by now from both sides.
 
Don’t rule out player power becoming more of a thing in football especially after the mbappe finally going to Madrid.

Bayern will do anything to keep him though. They are huge and almost political in Germany. Didn’t they threaten Sane with his international future in an attempt to sign him from us.
 
Keep seeing constant updates about this. The amount of money they are offering is crazy, I don’t get why players/agents draw this out so long? Still hasn’t signed but feels like I’ve been seeing stuff about it since September.

I personally think all the stuff you see about the contract is soft pressure from Bayern. Tell the world he’s extending and he likely will
