His view on the poppy is a legitimate one imo and one I believe to be honestly held by him - even if I don’t share it myself.

I don’t think he disrespects the war dead by taking the stance he does. Isn’t that what they were significantly fighting for - his freedom of speech and expression?

certainly was - however in some peoples eyes there is only their own version of what is right and can be freely expressed as such - anything else is the act of a traitor.

Choose which religion - OK
Choose which football team - OK
Choose which political party - OK
Choose not to wear a poppy, all hell breaks loose.
