Unilaterally bringing up the morality of the quip would strongly suggest otherwise.

It's an interesting (perhaps an overly-defensive, if I may say so?) interpretation of events to say that morality was unilaterally applied to the conversation. One shouldn't always immediately confuse sound, if perhaps, unwanted, advice with reprimand.

All that not withstanding, I'm heartened that your definition of what constitutes a quip remains delightfully generous.

Apologies for my late reply. I'm sure you'll understand when I tell you that I was attending to my patriotic duty by binge-watching Mrs Brown's Boys.
Admittedly, it falls considerably shorter of the master that is, Roy Chubby Brown than your own er, quip did but well, there we are.
