James Milner

I'm not feeling the love for milner from @stony tbh. At least I tried. OK he's a dipper ****.

To be honest mate I would have been happy if he'd stayed. He is a useful sub, but unfortunately he sees himself as a midfield general. I wasn't even that arsed when he left. I was a bit miffed that he lied and strung us along, but he still fulfilled his contract, so apart from thinking he was a bit of a greedy **** I wasn't really arsed.
It was when he scored that goal. Now I'm not that arsed when former players celebrate, I certainly don't hold it against Dickov. Milner however was different. He never celebrated when he scored against Villa, which was fair enough, but not only did he celebrate against us, the club where he had actually won stuff, he copied the celebration of a current City player.
We paid Villa good money for him and he gave them respect. He lied to us, left on a free and then showed us no respect whatsoever.
I hope his arsehole never stops itching.

This utter dick head has out done himself with his latest comment.

"Winning two titles at City, we had some good players, but as a team this is probably the best I’ve played in."

The 2 times we won the league we had to come from behind and it was against the 2 media darlings, its just lie from him that this Liverpool team is a better "team" .There is no way we could have won this 2 times without a great team spirit and booth time we stuck together and showed more team spirit then United and Liverpool. So he is simply not telling the truth.

I'm surprised there is 150 pages on a bang average footballer who hasn't been at his peak for about 6 years. If it was a Sol Campbell situation this thread would be 1000 pages!

become a bit of a irritating prick since he left, with some of the stuff he has said about us. looking more and more like a good decision now. very solid and reliable but wanted to play in position he clearly wasn't good enough to play in.

That wasnt the quote though. Im sure people just like stirring the shit

He said

"Obviously winning a couple of titles at City, we had some very good players, but as a team this is probably up there as the best team I've played in."

Nothing wrong with that. "up there with the best"

Remember Joe Cole talking about he joined Liverpool. In an interview they were trying to get him to say Liverpool was a bigger club than Chelsea. He refused but the story pretty much came out like he said it anyway. Probably something similar, but for a bloke that made a habit of a lifetime of saying very little of note he does seem to have become chatty.

I think labelling him as just a utility player has been a little harsh. He was a bloody good winger, with some really standout performances in that position (away at Bayern Munich 3-2 and home to Chelsea 1-1 come to mind.

The problem is, he'd rather have been an average centre midfielder than a good winger. And now he's playing at full-back. So, more fool him.

It's funny how Sterling got so much stick for wanting to move to us to better himself, but when Milner agitates to move the other way because we weren't playing him in centre midfield, and then he ends up playing at full-back yet is seemingly content with that, the pundits/media don't call him out for it.

There is not one argument, not one, that can be made to say the current Liverpool team is better than either or league winning teams or our FA Cup winning team, for that matter
