James Trafford | Signed by Burnley for £19m

Trafford is probably a more "modern" keeper than Bazunu. It seems to imply that VK will have Burnley playing out from the back which might be problematical at the higher level. I wonder whether they will also try to sign THB.
Don't know if he's more modern but he is available.
With these new restriction on loans in the premier league, I can see a lot more of these sales with buyback/ sell ons taking place with younger players from now on.

Not bad, close on 50m on keepers in 4 years
There was an article recently that someone here referenced. Apparently Brighton have made it their number one priority to find and develop keepers. Especially if they are English. We no doubt had to fight them for Spike Brits.

It won't be long before every keeper in the pyramid is trying to play like City and it all starts with the keeper.

Good luck James, great move for the lad and wish him all the best. He has grown into a man almost overnight and deserves this opportunity at a higher level. I had hoped for him to go out to the Championship, then a year as our number 2 to challenge Ederson but it's better for his development to be playing, and if that's in the Prem then even better.

I hope City manage to insert a buyback clause. Also happy for more players to go to Burnley if it means them coming back to us with Vinny in 2 years time ;)

I know the lad has been very outspoken about his belief that he can one day be City's number one, which is a good thing.

But he's clearly also got the brains to realise that he'll be rotting in the reserves for at least five years if he decides to wait for Ederson to leave, which is also a good thing.

Hope it works out for him and he can eventually achieve that goal of being our first choice goalkeeper, but it's definitely the right choice to go elsewhere for now. Eddie could easily be our #1 until 2028 and by then James will be mid-twenties.

Also love that the club clearly have complete trust in Kompany to look after our youngsters. I doubt there's a manager in the world the board and Pep would sooner loan players to.

Ladies and gentlemen, here is why were the best run club in the world

Not afraid to sell youth players and risk seeing their value depreciate and inserting sell on clauses and/or buyback clauses if they do reach their potential

Our academy infrastructure is the best in the world and we just keep the juggernaut rolling
Thats all very well ... but we`re still fucking cheats.
