Manchester City want to sign £5m-rated Japan midfielder Ritsu Doan (20) from FC Groningen in January. City have been tracking the player for some time and have been impressed. Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also interested. [Mirror]
According to Transfermarkt he's primary right winger but can also play left winger or attacking midfielder. Anyone seen him in action?

Looks nice, Im not sure he is good enough for city but we will get support from 127 million Japanese fans so economically it sounds good :)

Reminded me a lot of Mahrez watching that video. The feints and eye for a pass along with the footwork and dipping crosses. Certainly should get a move to a bigger club on that evidence although it is only highlights - see the Greek god. He is far too exciting for many of the cloggers in the prem and maybe born too far from Lisbon to get to Wolves. Can see him going to the Bundesliga as they have the strongest history with nurturing Asian players but many top clubs will do a lot worse for 50 million never mind 5. Sadly we just don't have room for exciting players at that age and position as they can't displace anybody.

De Jong
Ndombele
Neves.

That's my order of preference. But I'll take any of them.
That's my order of preference as well, but if we get down to Neves I would actually prefer waiting until summer and signing Rabiot on a free rather than paying Wolves the crazy money they'd be after in January. Of the three Ndombele is the only one I could actually see moving this window.
