Mendy out for three months, I'm convinced we'll sign a left back now.

What about Chilwell? Is he even attainable?

Definitely not in January and will cost a ridiculous sum in the summer, as he just signed a new contract. Can't see the club going for him when Leicester will likely be asking for more than we paid for Mendy.

In my eyes we'll either go for a younger, less known target like Junior Firpo (who we have been linked with), who's currently at Betis. They're keen on Zinchenko, so a deal involving both could be a good move for all parties.

I could also see us going for a slightly older stop gap, like Bertrand, but that ship may have now sailed.

We won't buy a left back unless we were planning to anyway, we aren't going to take up a squad place with a stop gap for the sake of 5 or 6 weeks.

He is an injury prone player... We can t relly on him tbh.... Maybe we Will GO for sandro or that kid from Betis who knows

It's not about the money, he doesn't want to come to City. They also wouldn't sell him for a near 100mil euro loss.

120 million euros plus a young Brazilian player like Gabriel Jesus would be a very good offer for PSG, nobody will pay 200 million for him, it would only be necessary to convince Mbappé if he continues playing in France he will never be the best player in the world.

If Pep says no then it is no one in the Jan market for the 1st team squad, maybe the odd youngster, and maybe some out of the club.

Think the situation at left back could potentially cost us in the latter stages of the Champions League but you've got to trust Pep.
What left backs could we sign that are good enough for the club long term (ie good enough for a place in the team when everyone is fit) and haven't played in European competition this season?

Players can change teams in Jan and take part in European competitions without any restrictions (new UEFA rule, implemented this season) if I'm not mistaken.
