January transfers

Cahill would get destroyed in our system imo.
Agreed, he looks all at sea as soon as he's far enough up the pitch to leave space for runners to get in behind him. He's fine as long as everything is in front of him, but he doesn't seem to track runners well at all. For England he's no better than the rest of the dross we have to play at CB.

Main January transfers I can think of

Cabaye - PSG
Carroll - Bottlepool
The racist biter - Bottlepool
Dzeko - Man City
Reyes - Arsenal
Sturridge - Bottlepool
Coutinho - Bottlepool
Us - Pizzaro, Paddy V, Johnson

And our first big spend in 2009.

Baconface bought Evra, Vidic, Zaha and loaned in Larsson.

Wenger brought back Henry twice.

Chelsea have signed Ba and had Queresma on loan.

With enough money you can get players in but will have to overspend.

Also Mata to United
Torres, Luiz, Matic and Cahill to Chelsea
Kaboul to Spurs
Bent to Villa

Cabaye - Modest Success (thus far)
Carroll - Utter, utter failure
Suarez - Undeniable success
Dzeko - Success
Reyes - Modest Success. (Decent player, overpriced)
Sturridge - Success
Coutinho - Success
Pizarro - Modest Success (we did win the league)
Vieira - Modest Success (much more potential as a coach)
Johnson - Modest Success (made a profit)
Bellamy - Success
Bridge - Flop
Given - Modest Success
de Jong - Success (slightly overpriced though)
Evra - Success
Vidic - Undeniable Success
Zaha - Failure (so far)
Larsson - Modest Success
Henry - Modest Success
Ba - Modest Success
Queresma - Failure (but it was a loan, so who cares)
Mata - Failure (thus far)
Luiz - Success (profit)
Torres - Well...
Matic - Success
Cahill - Success
Kaboul - Success (overall)
Bent - (Good start, but) Failure

January doesn't seem too bad a time to buy.

Agree with all of them apart from this one.

He's been involved in 12 goals for United in the 19 apps he's made.

That's hardly a failure.
Fair enough, didn't know that stat.
He's been okay, I guess.

Re: January Targets

the main point is in January we do not NEED anybody. in the summer we will need home grown and every one will have us over. buying without desperation is always preferable

Do you know what car he drives and do you have his autograph?

how can u said that. we are already a striker/attacker short after negredo departed and when lampard leaves we are a CM short.

Infact january is a good time to buy b/c your targets will have less competition for their signatures

Re: January Targets

There is no chance we can land a major transfer this January.

For the 4th striker position we wouldn't need one.

A player of Bony's calibre would be the ideal.
