I'm anything but a knee jerker or a Fifa fan boy but the only players I'd keep for next season are...
Hart
Zaba
Kompany
Mangala
Kolarov
Milner
Fernandinho
Yaya
Silva
Nasri
Aguero
Sagna
The rest can be upgraded.
If we can get Clyne then Sagna can go.
If we get good offers for Yaya or Nasri then both of these can leave as long as quality replacements can be bought.
If we bought Kurzawa or Rodriguez then Kolarov could leave.
I'd say Fernando should be kept, but agree with the rest of your picks.
However we all know that we can't afford to change all these players in one go, but like you said if it was FIFA or fantasy manager then,.....
I'd like to keep Demichelis but if he wants to play in the MLS like he said on that City show on ITV 4 he can.
Clyne would be a fool to move to be Zaba's back up, can see the rags going balls deep for him in the summer. Sagna's cracking back, Bayern have Rafinha as a back up right back, Barcelona have Montoya, I'd pick Sagna over those two.
I'd keep Yaya and Nasri because they are both excellent players and we won't get anywhere close to there true value's because they are on massive wages.
I agree with both picks for a new left back, I'd also try and tempt Alba as he's rumored to be unhappy at Barca or Coentrao, in a straight choice between Clichy or Kolarov it's Kolarov even without the home grown card.
Fernando to me's been poor, in a 3 man midfield he'll be a decent holding midfielder but in a 2 he's not creative enough. Schneiderlin to me would fit like a glove and is homegrown. If only Lampard was younger then I'd keep him, we need someone who can dictate a game like Yaya when Yaya's out, Xavi is strongly linked with a move to our sister club but he's old and he'd struggle in a midfield 2 in the Premiership.
In the attacking positions Silva is a must stay, I'm a Nasri fan so he stay's, Milner stays as he's reliable, Navas is a decent option but Pedro's unhappy at Barca and a far better player than Navas, I may well be the only person that isn't keen on Barkley coming(a combo of he'll be overpriced, he's not consistent enough, has injury problems and to me he's not a box to boxer like many seem to think, he's the closest thing to Rooney around) Reus would be ideal but think he'll join his German pals at Real, Draxler could be a star in the Premiership, Isco might be available if Real want a new shiny toy.
Up front, Aguero has to stay, Dzeko can stay if he's up for fighting for his place, or we can offer him to Inter for Icardi. Jovetic is a class player but he relies on being the main man, he'd be the ideal Totti replacement. Get the Southampton version of J-Rod
Hart
Zaba Mangala Kompany ?
Schneiderlin Yaya
Isco Silva Draxler
Aguero
?
Sagna ? Denayer Kolarov
Fernandinho ?
Milner Nasri Pedro
Icardi
And J-Rod. Not unrealistic like people screaming for Valdes, Ramos, Pique, Alaba, Coleman, Sterling, Bale etc etc.
