January window

Unusually for us we have to buy in January. We have to get a midfielder who can play with and occasionally replace Rodri. Rodri has been overplayed and is starting to rack up yellow cards. If he hits 10 yellows he gets a two match ban. He’s already on 6. I hoped it would be Phillips but he’s never going to be good enough.
 
It depends on what game plan we want to play. If we play 3241 then a no 8 is necessary but I doubt any will be on the market in the winter. If we play 433/4231 we have to buy a traditional left back to protect Josko. That is easier and cheaper.


But nonetheless we have to find a Rodri sub.

Ideally a right winger as well. But impossible in the winter.

Sane looked very much like his old self, the one after his injury.

I think we do need another winger but maybe one more akin to Grealish/Mahrez.

Don't think he did, he had a few chances and his touch and decision making let him down.
