Should be loaned to one of the newly promoted sides or the Eredivise .
or lets see a great young player given a chance

Next season we really have to give our youth a chance, it will be difficult with the pressure of top 4 qualifying plus this 5 trophies in 5 years bullshit but we need to.
Denayer could be the the leading light.

Absolute gem of a player this boy. Won the Scottish YPOTY by a long streak. Excellent at reading the game, good on the ball and quick to boot. I honestly think City could do a lot worse than giving him some game time. Personally I hope they don't and let us have him for another season, but not sure if he'll move to a more competitive league (maybe another EPL team).

If there's anything I'd say against him, is he's a bit on the small side, but actually is good in the air, but possibly against a top striker who is strong in the air could pose problems.

I'd love to see him with us next year. He has played a bit of defensive midfield so that might be his way in as a utility player of the bench.

Has he played defensive mid? I'd love to see him there just to see what he's capable of because he is a proper footballer.

I doubt whether we're being sufficiently realistic. This is player who got selected into the Belgian senior squad (no. 3 on FIFA's world ranking) after just 5 (five!) official games with Celtic. A 19-year old that, at San Siro, completely neutralized Argentinian international Palacio, even after Virgil Van Dyck got sent off. If he keeps his head cool, Denayer will go to the very pinnacle of world football (as both Belgium's coach Wilmots and Belgian legend Staelens have indicated recently).

Instead of "not good enough for Premier League", I'd say: "too good for Premier League". Because let's be honest, the top of both La Liga and Bundesliga have been clearly stronger than the strongest teams in the Premier League, these last couple of Champions Leagues.

Think you got mixed up with my post mate,I meant Denayer WILL be good enough for the Premier League,in time.

Boyata looks like he would rather be doing something else and imo is shite.

I don't get some comments on here, regarding these lads,
some say loan them out again to Newly promoted PL team..
some say loan them out to championship team..
some say they-re not good enough for our squad..
there more qualified people out there who will decide their fate..
but denayer & rekik will have a say in it,if they do not get in our squad,as both will be playing in next season CL for their respected loan clubs..
rekik just missed out on a place in the dutch squad WC(so he can,t be that bad)
denayer yes as played for his country(so he can,t be that bad)..
people on here who watch denayer say he,s class..
i know people who watch psv wk in wk out & they say the same about rekik

Jason has enjoyed a stellar season on loan to Celtic, winning the Scottish Premier League and Scottish League Cup, as well as being voted Scotland’s Young Player of the Year and the plaudits have flooded in, including the latest tribute from his national team boss.

Said Wilmots: "I went to Milan to see him play for Celtic against Inter Milan. After 30 minutes, Celtic were down to ten men and then I saw what a player he is. He took command and remained calm and controlled his defence.

"First and foremost, he defends. He's also fast and his positional sense is superb. I'm not saying he is in pole position to start against Wales in Cardiff in June because the match is still over a month away.

"But what I will say is that Jason has enormous potential. If he continues to evolve at the rate he is progressing, he can be world class."

I watched him yesterday against Inverness. To me, he was the best player on the park, strong, fast, confident, read the game really well and his distribution was excellent too. Have watched him a few times this season with Celtic, and I think he is ready for the first team squad. I cant say I have seen Rekik that much but Jason looks like 'the real deal' to me.

This lad is the best young player i have seen coming through the academy at City in absolutely ages. I think he could prove to be an absolutely fantastic player. He has everyone in his locker to be exactly what he wants to be, i do want City to try and bring him through sensibly, slowly easing him into Premier league football. Would be brilliant if he a few chances for us this season. No more media, pundit and fans crap about City not producing players through the academy.

While preparing for Belgium's Euro 2016 qualifier against Wales a week on Friday, Denayer said: "I don't yet know what the future holds for me next season.

"I am preparing to play with Manchester City but it is very important to me to play and gain experience.

"I've had a great season playing first-team football at Celtic against good players.

"Of course I know only too well that the competition at City to win a first team place is fierce and no guarantees can be given.

"So perhaps next season it will be best for me if I go and gain experience elsewhere again."

That seems a lot more sensible than some of the flapping going on
He would like to get in the first time, realises it isn't that easy so knows he may have to go off to get more experience
Doesn't sound like a lad disenchanted with things as they stand

This is a youth team player coming off one of the best possible seasons who flat out says that he knows he isn't going to get into the first team no matter how well he did on loan, so now wants to leave and go somewhere else on loan because it's his only chance at football

This isn't flapping and it's patronising shite that you try to characterise it as such.
