Our four centre backs next season should be Kompany , Mangala , Denayer , Demichellis.
Demichellis as fourth choice , Denayer will come in and be home grown and club trained?

I have a mate who supports Celtic and apparently the only reason Van Dyjke looks so comfortable is because of Denayer

dont think denayor is HG yet so we may see boyata for another year

He's either home grown or he doesn't use a squad spot as u21,either way he can replace Boyata without affecting our squad spots.

sure for the PL thats true, but does it also apply to CL?

Comfortably better than Boyata IMO.

Kompany, Mangala, Denayer and Demichelis as our four CBs next season sounds good to me.

Not sure how it works, but don't we have to register somebody as home grown and club trained, before we can name the other home grown players to the squad? So if Denayer was in the squad as u21 we would still need a club trained player in the main squad.

Milner, Clichy, Hart and a signing from, for example, Arsenal for home-growns and Gunn/Johansen, Lopes, and anybody from EDS or even Boyata + 1 from EDS if we let him stay

No, you don't have to fill any particular slots first. We can simply name a smaller squad with the under age ones as freebies although I'm not 100% certain that Denayer has been here long enough to qualify as under age.

Have Gunn and Lopes been with us for 3 years ?

Thanks, it was 'filling particular slots first' bit I was unsure about

Does Google not work where you are? ;)

Gunn came from Norwich in the Summer of 2011 for £264,000 according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/angus-gunn/profil/spieler/201574

Lopes was 6 months later in the Winter of 2012 from Benfica for £880,000 http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcos-lopes/profil/spieler/174694

Such numbers can make this 30m academy players' pricetag seem real. Btw, transfermarkt isn't always correct, especially when it comes to young players. For example, it says that Denayer joined City u18 in summer 2012, while he actually joined us one year later, so he won't be a club-grown
