He did, but we didn't get to see him partner Kompany, who got sent off after trying to take the ball past an attacker as last man....

Good news for Denayer though who looks like he'll step into that gap in the next qualifier!

Denayer was absolutely perfect when he came on.

Could not have possibly been better.

He was much sharper & quicker to the ball than Kompany was.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila has confirmed Jason Denayer will return to City for pre-season but would like him back for a second season on loan.

Deila: "I think it's good for him to stay because hopefully we will get C.League qualification and that will make him more experienced."

I think Celtic has been good to him but I will bed astonished if will be there next season, for me he will either be with us or on loan in either England, France, Germany or Italy.
