Absolute gem of a player this boy. Won the Scottish YPOTY by a long streak. Excellent at reading the game, good on the ball and quick to boot. I honestly think City could do a lot worse than giving him some game time. Personally I hope they don't and let us have him for another season, but not sure if he'll move to a more competitive league (maybe another EPL team).
If there's anything I'd say against him, is he's a bit on the small side, but actually is good in the air, but possibly against a top striker who is strong in the air could pose problems.
Has he played defensive mid? I'd love to see him there just to see what he's capable of because he is a proper footballer.Gaudion M said:I'd love to see him with us next year. He has played a bit of defensive midfield so that might be his way in as a utility player of the bench.

I doubt whether we're being sufficiently realistic. This is player who got selected into the Belgian senior squad (no. 3 on FIFA's world ranking) after just 5 (five!) official games with Celtic. A 19-year old that, at San Siro, completely neutralized Argentinian international Palacio, even after Virgil Van Dyck got sent off. If he keeps his head cool, Denayer will go to the very pinnacle of world football (as both Belgium's coach Wilmots and Belgian legend Staelens have indicated recently).
Instead of "not good enough for Premier League", I'd say: "too good for Premier League". Because let's be honest, the top of both La Liga and Bundesliga have been clearly stronger than the strongest teams in the Premier League, these last couple of Champions Leagues.
