Can't agree with some of the ranting going on here. Thought Garcia had a reasonably good game. Problem is, he has the same deficiencies as Barry, and we only got a semblance of a grip on proceedings once we switched to 3-5-2. If you want to focus on someone who was lightweight and shit today, look no further than David Silva.

Whatever, a 6 out of 10 performance from the team as a whole and I'd probably give Garcia the same score as an individual. Liverpool were better than us, simple as that

What game were you watching he was beyond awful. I wouldn't even given him a 2 out of 10 he was that shit.

Pure arse gas

Look at my previous post where I listed just some of the mistakes he made today. That isn't my opinion those are mistakes he actually made. Now come back to me and say he deserves a 6 out of 10. He was personally accountable for the Sturidge goal and his lack of awareness allowed them a dangerous corner right at the end of the game. Not good enough by miles and once Toure is back he better get used to warming the bench with his arse.

I'd certainly be interested in the pass completion stats, cos I thought he kept possession reasonably well and ditto for his distribution. Perhaps OB1 can assist?

Started good but was all over the place later. His lack of pace is appalling for player on his position.

He will not make it as a CM imo, but maybe he can establish himself as a useful CB.

I dont think he will make it as either, looks too indescplined to be effective CB.
May be a good defensive squad player, a bit like mascherano(not in terms of ability, but his importance) for barcelona

-- Mon Feb 04, 2013 12:25 am --

Some absolute bell ends in this thread. What ever happened to getting behind our players instead of constantly slagging them.

I agree that some posters do come on this thread and say that Garcia has been poor but it seems there are a few certain posters who want him to fail and fucking love posting that he has been shit.

Garcia is a top player who is yet to hit top form and is a lot better than Nigel 'the saint' fucking De Jong. Personally I reckon Javi is here for the long term and Barry will get replaced next season with someone more mobile and creative.

Perhaps, but lack of pace will be an issue wherever he plays. His performances against Dortmund and Wigan away, verged on the comi-tragic, but today (and ditto for Arsenal) I genuinely don't think he was as awful as is being made out. Not good by a long chalk, but not bad either. As I said before, his deployment alongside Barry robs the midfield of real mobility. It needs one of the two of them as an anchorman, not both, but that is the manager's decision and hardly Garcia's fault
