Javi Garcia

Some absolute bell ends in this thread. What ever happened to getting behind our players instead of constantly slagging them.

I agree that some posters do come on this thread and say that Garcia has been poor but it seems there are a few certain posters who want him to fail and fucking love posting that he has been shit.

Garcia is a top player who is yet to hit top form and is a lot better than Nigel 'the saint' fucking De Jong. Personally I reckon Javi is here for the long term and Barry will get replaced next season with someone more mobile and creative.

That makes sense replacing Barry one of our most consistent performers over the past 2 years. Using that logic, why not sell Kompany our composed captain with a nervous wreck of player like Garcia.

Decent centre half and positionally very intelligent, but sadly he's just NOT mobile enough to play Premiership central midfield football in a two. He's arguably more immobile than Huddlestone (who has bags of ability) and the scouts really should have foreseen this. The Prem isn't the best league in the world, but it's probably the quickest, especially when you're often up against 3 midfielders. Would definitely keep him as CB cover but he's clearly not good enough for a title challenging midfield.

All this talk of 'trippers' made me think about Garcia. Has he been booked five or six times now? Anyone runs past him he just trips them up. Not sure I've ever seen a player do it so routinely.

Usually a player does a professional foul as a last resort but because he's so fucking slow and players pass him all the the time Garcia uses it as a key part of his game.

hes absolutely fucking crap and that's all there is to it

most of the teams in the prem have better centre mids than him (not aston villa) , and im being serious

-- Sun Feb 03, 2013 7:07 pm --

Think about the long term Barry is getting no younger and we need faster midfielders. Garcia, Toure and someone like Ramires would be absolute quality.

I thought he did well today, ball got stuck under his feet for their first but Sturrridge should have been closed down. Two reasons we did not win today Liverpool were right on top of the game plus we took this game to lightly, for me I thought not just Garcia was caught in midfield we were second to the ball in 65% of the game.
