United have been waiting 5 years for another overpriced midfielder from the Portuguese league, Anderson, to 'come good'.

Closely watch Real Madrid's goals at the Bernabeu, on his home soil in a competition he's played in many times before; If he stands square Marcelo's shot bounces off him and away from goal, but he bottles it and turns side on, which facilitates the deflection that gives Hart no chance. The second comes from the area of the pitch De Jong used to patrol. For the winning goal, in the last few minutes away to one of the world's best teams, once Ronaldo gets one on one with Zabaleta, Garcia criminally stands watching from 5 yards away as the second best player in the world inevitably cuts inside and gets a shot off, then strangely and over elaborately throws himself to the floor when it goes in; if only he'd put as much passion and energy into a tackle....

For me, he'll never be good enough. Just hope he's not a sign of things to come in our flawed attempt to replicate Barcelona under Soriano and Cheeky Burger-stain.

Problem is whos going to replace Milner for Saturday and possibly for the derby?

Cyprus, whilst I love Barry i thought he actually had a poor game last night and was guilty of giving the ball away on several occasions, as was captain fantastic. Could not believe Quinn gave him MOM it should have been Nasty or Zabba.This seems to be brushed aside because Garcia is the new whipping boy. Give the lad time, he is a good player. Some of the so called fans on here were the ones that were slagging Silva and Ya Ya off after a few games.

Could not believe Quinn gave him MOM it should have been Nasty or Zabba.This seems to be brushed aside because Garcia is the new whipping boy. Give the lad time, he is a good player. Some of the so called fans on here were the ones that were slagging Silva and Ya Ya off after a few games.

I agree with that, except I thought Kompany played very well. Nastasic was motm for me but like you said Barry was poor last night.

this thread is embarassing. how many games has he played for city exactly?? in benfica he was a very good player. but for one thing i'm sure, a midfield with garcia, barry and an exhasted yaya is not good enough. barry is a good player and garcia too, but they have the same attributes and they are both slow and one dimensional. we desperately need a deep lying playmaker, bring in benat come jan. and for god sake is it only me that thinks yaya needs a rest?? he is not off form he is exhausted.

Barry always has the capacity to make a couple of bad passes per game (he does it fairly regular) however he did make some important challenges to deny them possession and stop their attacks (a strong-point of his game).Again nobody played that well but a few hard working performances were enough thankfully.

Barry got MotM on Sky iirc and to be fair, I thought he was very good. Manged to break up their play at points and worked extremely hard.

As for Garcia, I've left it a while before commenting but he was extremely poor. A lot of question marks over his ability to pick up the pace of the Premier League and fit into our style of play - hopefully it's just a learning curve for him being in a new team, new country etc as there are times he's played where has has looked comfortable and assured.

Perhaps give him the benefit of the doubt for the other night, as every player has an off night from time to time, and see how he goes in the next few games he plays.

Some people adjust slowly some adjust quickly. We all know his performances have been below par, but he is in a new country. He hasn't even worked out what side of the road he should be driving on yet lol.

New League, new team, new country, new style of play. Patience grasshopper.
