NQ will be along to quote some meaningless stats and inform us 'he did nothing wrong' in his 'specialist' role soon enough......

He would struggle as a first choice in the Championship.

Who do we blame though, Garcia for not being anywhere near good enough to play for city or pellegrini for repeatedly picking him?

Or Pellegrini not looking for other DM in the January. If Rodwell is so injury prone.

Back to that 73% forward passes stat

Haha he threw this one out there at half time, doesn't bring any form of defence forward for him, just another bullshit statistic.

You said he kept losing the ball. That he can't pass forwards.

Making it a very relevant statistic.

Yeah, no I didn't, the guy you were replying to wasn't me. I was just putting forward that you're defending him regardless of the situation. Which is quite obvious when you look at his performance against Blackburn.

I will be astonished if we are not looking for a replacement this month, if Fernandinho or Yaya gets injured are we really going to rely on him?

Not good enough even for a back up!

Who do we blame for him being involved in 11 of the last 12 and us not losing a game in ages?

Pellegrini is clearly an idiot.

Yeah Garcia was VITAL for us during that run of victories. Golly gosh I hope he doesn't pick up an injury because I'm not quite sure how we'd cope.

Don't worry about Garcia's diabolical performance guys, he has a 93% pass success and 72% go forward. Best passer EU.
And out of those passes how many did he play a team mate in to trouble? Kept on passing it to boyata (who had a poor game) while surrounded by players. Garcia is a shithouse.

^^This 100%^^

Isn't that kind of the point though? Garcia is fine receiving the ball under pressure and moving it on but the full backs aren't. He's a Spanish footballer. Their whole philosophy is based around being able to get it under and move it on.

It's frankly ridiculous that you would come out of that game and blame him for that result. Absolutely everything Blackburn did came down the wings, and he kept things ticking over when on the ball. But somehow he gets the blame for the likes of Boyata being unable to trap it at the first time of asking.

The entire team was dreadful today bar Milner and Fernandinho.

I include Garcia in that, but to make out he was levels below everyone else seems unfair to me.

I'm just trying to be fair to the guy, when he makes horrendous errors I'll completely admit it. I don't really want to come across that I defend him blindly so I try to use "bullshit statistics" to justify my opinions, seeing as I appreciate I'm in something of a minority on this.

Bad today. All were bad today.

On his best day where the rest of the team are performing tricks he is OK. But when you are up against it, everything is one paced, never out of first gear, and he patrols an area that is critical.
