That was about his play, obviously in the context of the match and team. I apologise that I actually linked my opinions to something rather than just a random statement slagging him off
He was very poor today.

He was walked past virtually every time he was taken on by a player. To attempt to mask his ineptitude by saying "everyone was poor" is in itself poor.

You're effectively slagging off the rest of the team with your reluctance to acknowledge Garcia's poor play.
I'm sorry, was everyone else great and just let down by Garcia? Sorry, but you're talking shit. I'm slagging off the rest of the team for their poor performance, not to protect Garcia. I am merely being fair and judging everyone based on their performance, rather than singling out players I dislike and heaping all the blame on them.
Until you can find me one post where someone has blamed Garcia I''ll have to insist it is you who is "talking shit"

Insecure much?

I can only remember one error Garcia made, the only criticism I have of him as a player is his confidence on the ball, he doesn't have that confidence at the moment to be a midfielder and play the ball forwards or do anything other than distribute to someone else. Other than that, I really don't see what he has done wrong. Nasty and Lescott were all over the place today, Pants had a dodgy game and really should of conceded a penalty or even sent off. It's really unfair to blame someone who although hasn't contributed much, didn't do much wrong. Silva was also shite today, Negredo I thought looked tired and couldn't do much... It was a poor performance across the board really as a team.

Your stream must have been even more laggy than mine.

Well, when you consider the goal which was down to someone not going up for a header and the goalkeeper making an error, does it really matter? Negredo was awful today, his touch just wasn't there at all, same goes for several other players. I thought Milner as well made an awful start but he grew into the game, I'm not blaming anyone though which is the difference because he is made into a scapegoat on here and it's a joke. It was just a poor performance by everyone and that's how it should be seen.

Do you know who gave the ball away that led to the corner?

Look one post down from yours, pudge. One post. Right below yours. Satisfied?

Useless in a two man midfield.
I think pellegrini needs to change his tactics to accommodate Garcia. Maybe he should play a six man midfield with no strikers.

Thought he played ok the problem was a mistake by our captain and the half chances we missed also no urgency but we still in the hat

That's not really true. You can acknowledge a player having a bad game while also accepting the whole team was playing levels below it should be.

Otherwise we could all just flood into the Silva thread and drone on about how awful he was.
Do it in the post match thread.

It screams denial and insecurity when you do it in the player's own thread. As does adding in the Silva comment..

So we should assess every performance without any form of environmental, tactical or situational context?

The people you're criticising are still saying he had a bad game, they've somehow overcome their crippling "insecurity" and rampant "denial" to admit that.
I'm criticizing those saying "stop blaming Garcia, everyone was poor"

That seems some are insecure over his performance. As does bringing up season long stats when discussing a totally separate 90 minutes.

So in modern football we are unable to defend a corner? This is a team game after all, if you have to give away a corner you give it away and then you defend it. I could easily analyze every goal we have conceded from a corner and should we blame the person who gave away the corner for incompetent defending?

That someone said he gave the ball away for the corner they scored from?

if he did then that's a fact, given the way this thread is "stats and facts" are king I thought
