What's worst, is we're going to loose big money when will come the time to get rid of him.
We bought him for 16M, and honestly, i just don't see which side would spend even half of that for Garcia.
And to think he is on a 140K weekly wages, 6.5M pay-grade a year, good lord,..

No-one will be crazy enough to buy him.

We either part-ex him or send him out on loan to free up a space in squad.

His only redeeming feature is that he generally stays fit.

140k a week?!

No club would buy him? I'm sorry but if Benfica, Real Madrid and Manchester City will buy him someone else will, quite possibly Napoli who are a bloody good side.

Have you pulled that 140k a week figure out of your arse? I'm not sure he's on more than half that

I know I should just stay out of this thread but it just kills me that people defend him by saying, "he does his job by sitting in front of back 4 and keeping things simple" - like that is an adequate defence of his limited capabilities.

I could forgive him if he had a passing range and could spray balls around the pitch like a Pirlo or Alonso. The guy is one of the most limited footballers I have ever seen, he's utterly and completely gash.
How many players spray it about like those 2 --------- probably just those two. So you dont expect much then!!

I defend him because he plays for City and over the years ive seen our fans destroy some of our own players

So you're reduced to only defending him on the basis that "he plays for City" now? Not based on any of his capabilities? lol.

One of out better players today. Did we pay too much for him? Yes. Is he good enough for where we want to be? No. He's not a bad player and does a lot of the work that people don't notice. He's not as bad as some people make out.

No one has to make out he's bad he's quite capable of doing that all on his own. The game passes him by every time. If any other team had bought him we'd be pissing ourselves laughing at them and rest assured we'd be targeting him if he played against us. If I went in to the car show room payed top dollar for a motor only to find it wasn't fit for purpose. "at least it starts" wouldn't really compensate for all its other deficiencies.

Was watching closely today and he was very poor, his passing was woeful and kept giving the ball away which is usually the best part of his very limited game.

Aside from Kolarov, he's my dad's least favourite player on the squad.

Personally, I think he's a top CDM, he plays perfectly well on the Spanish squad and he does well for City when he's given the time to do it.

Problem is, as a lot of others have said, he's not used to the pace of the PL, but within a couple of seasons he'll find his groove and become a vital part of the team.

I think another problem is that Garcia is very good at what he does, it's just that what he does isn't to everyone's taste. There's not much anyone can do about that.

I'd take him over Barry any day.
