If you want a right back that can defend, then Frimpong is not your guy.

You do know both of them are suspect at defending right? Well Cambiasso is better than Frimpong, but still suspect!
So question is, why would you get the same type? Why not Cambiasso and Singo or Vanderson? Is it because of his homegrown status?
Vanderson can defend better than frimpong or Cambiasso and can attack as well!

Vanderson would be an too obvious choice so we won’t go for him. Cambiasso isn’t anything special beside being able to play everywhere. No idea what Pep is planning but hopefully Viana says no. I rather see gvardiol on the left side than paying that much for someone who‘s not even an upgrade at that position ( Kerkez, Hernandez, Robinson) there are some better options. Not too hard to buy fullbacks who are actually fullbacks. The plan to buy Cambiasso to play him on the right is funnily enough when he‘s clearly an LB
 
Really unsure about Frimpong, He obviously plays as a right wing back with Leverkusen and given the opportunity to venture into forward areas alot due to the protection of two holding midfielders and a three centre backs...

It would be a completely different ball game playing in a Pep team, Although the lad is really quick the jury is still out on his defensive capabilities especially in one v one duels.

Yeah, the Cambiaso train has already left the station—looks like that ship sailed a while ago. All signs point to City locking that one down. Personally, I would’ve gone for Singo or Vanderson on the right, and then either Kerkez, Livramento, or even Robinson on the left—and that’s me being polite about it. Theo is another that can not defend, great going forward. Instead of Hernández, I’d go for Dimarco. Dimarco is the Don! But hey, we all know Pep loves his versatile players—hence the Cambiaso move.

I think we will go for Vanderson. Too often i think we wont go for the obvious xhoice and we did. Marmoush, Gonzo, Haaland and Rodri being the most recent.



Wirtz, and Vanderson we will attempt i believe. Even if we don't get them.

4 players isn’t that many really and I think that’s all we need most summers we buy 2 or 3.
The biggest issues are first making room, second biggest issue might be if we need a goalkeeper or 3, then it does become many players.

Even if KDB/Silva/Grealish go, we’d be left with

Rodri - DM
Nico G - DM/CM
Kovacic - DM/CM
Marmoush - AM/Second striker/Wing
Foden - AM/Wing
Gundogan - CM/AM
Mcatee - AM/Wing
Nico O - CM/AM
Nunes - CM/RB
Echeverri - AM


If Nunes & Mcatee go its still 8 players for 3 positions. Maybe Marmoush goes wide and that leaves space for Wirtz

Were in danger of having to many midfielders and not enough quality/options out wide. Similar to January with 9 centre halfs now on the books and zero fullbacks!!

We need two top class midfielders minimum
From that list Nunes, kovacic, Gundo and mcatee not good enough
O Reilly never been played there
Echeverri never played for us
Marmoush is an attacker
That leaves rodri, foden and nico

Having too many average midfielders ain’t gonna win us the league

Just dont see it, we’re not getting 2 top class CM’s this summer unless we offload a lot of players (possible). One CM maybe with Kova as cover. Not that we dont need them, but we also need a GK, RB, LB, RW, LW and an AM

When Haaland has played, Marmoush has played AM/10/winger up to now. What happens to him once Haaland is back?

We also need to spend this summer removing Pep's favorite toys from him in all honesty. That alone could make a massive change and force him into playing the likes of O'Reilly in midfield
