Jesus Navas

Im sure he got the joint most assists for us last season with Aguero... not bad for someone with a terrible final ball!

If he goes we should get at least £15m for him so would take a big chunk of the money will spend on Sterling if he comes.

Aguero 9
Navas 8

Completely agree with that.Which is why it will be a good thing to sell him. Last season he made the team more often than not for his pace alone rather than on form because we're so desperate for somebody with pace to hit teams on the counter. He's the one player above anybody else i find myself moaning at in frustration at the match. I really want to like him but i just can't when i know he has all the attributes to be a world class winger but fails to utilise them.

Nice move for him to go back to his home club whilst he can still offer something to them and after they've just secured champions league next season. Should be able to get our money back on him, surely.

Yeah, same. The tools are there, he just needs to utilise them. I think as a team, we need to look at wingers/forwards to sign that will genuinely offer a goal threat. De Bruyne/Reus/Sterling all offer a better goal threat than Navas.

Top assists in a team that had either no players in the box/Aguero at 5'6. Always providing an option on the break whilst doing more than his share of defensive duties, great engine on what you'd expect to be a short burst sprinter.

As Al said on page 1, ridiculously under valued by some.

When we were buying him i watched him a few times in spain and for the national team and he took on his man and crossed a lot for negredo,i think he plays the way he does for us because that's what he is told to do.I don't think we have got the best out of him

Money isn't the issue this summer and sales should only be to clear up slots for incomings. Navas leaving means we loose the best squad player in the world, and probably means lopes takes that slot behind Sterling. Both Firmino, kdb/Isco and lopes can play anywhere in the offensive midfield which give a lot of depth. Plus this mean nasri stays too, which is good.

He doesn't really bring:

Yes he's frustrating at times but he's happy being a bit part player coming off the bench regularly. He's not as talented as Sami but Nasri will not be happy as a squad player which is what he is going to be unless he leaves.

I think it goes without saying that he's a decent squad player. Sterling/DB etc should start over him obviously.

Sterling's no different to Navas.

The difference between Sterling and Navas is that Sterling can finish at least occasionally, if you're talking about stats. He's also younger and can get better.

We should keep Navas on the bench, he's good value for what we've paid for him and often shows a very good workrate.

Disagree. Navas has proven himself at the highest level and still has an awful lot to give. Sterling still setting his stall out

And do you think he should start over Sterling or KDB? Keep in mind that part of the reason for getting someone pacy on the RW is so they can offer the ability to get a goal when teams close down Aguero. Someone like Sanchez or Bale would be ideal. Them and the players we have been linked with are better finishers than Navas.

Yes over Sterling, I'm not knowledgeable enough about KDB.
